The textile engineering admission circular 2024 has been published. There are 960 seats available in 8 textile engineering colleges for the course B.Sc. in textile engineering admission 2023-24 academic year.

Textile Engineering College Admission Deadline: 20/03/2024 up to 5 PM. Admission Test of Textile Engineering Colleges will be held on 20 April. Result will be published at 22 April.

BUTEX Affiliated 8 Govt. textile engineering colleges recently published their admission circular 2024. Applications are invited from the candidates who wish to be admitted in level-1 in the 4 (four) year B.Sc in Textile Engineering course for the academic year 2023-2024 in Govt. Textile Engineering Colleges affiliated with Bangladesh Textile University.

Textile Engineering College Admission Requirements

BUTEX Affiliated 8 Colleges Admission Requirements are as follows:

(a) The applicant must be a citizen of Bangladesh.

(b) Applicant must have passed HSC/equivalent examination held in 2022 or 2023 from any Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education/Madrasa Education Board/Technical Education Board of Bangladesh with minimum GPA of 4.00 on a scale of 5.00 in grading system or from foreign Board of Education. Must pass the equivalent examination with an equivalent grade.

(c) The applicant must have a minimum GPA of 8 (including 4th subject) obtained in the Secondary and Higher Secondary or equivalent examinations in the science department.

(d) Applicant must have minimum 3.50 grade points in Mathematics, Physical Science, and Chemistry separately in HSC examination and minimum 15.50 aggregate grade points in Public subjects.

(e) The candidate must have an average B in at least 5 papers in GCE ‘0’ Level Examination.  The candidate must have an average “B” grade in physics, chemistry, and mathematics in GCE ‘A’ Level Examination.

Eligibility for application:

Butex 8 college admission needs grade points of 3.00 each in respectively SSC and HSC exams. Must have to total GPA of 15.5 points in Physics, Chemistry, Higher Maths, and English combined in HSC. [Needs to maintain a minimum GPA of 3.00 in the above subjects.]

Textile admission 2023 requirements have been changed. It’s 16.50 in total. In the previous 2021-22 circular, 8 textile college admission requirements were 15 (Physics+ Chemistry + Math + English)

HSC (Physics+ Chemistry + Math + English) = 15.50 

SSC and HSC should have 4.00 marks separately, and HSC should have a total of 16.50 points including 3.5 in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, and 3.00 in English.

Reserved Seats:

Every textile Colleges have an extra 2 Freedom Fighter Quota (FFQ) seats and 01 Tribal Quota (TRI) seat in total 03 seats will be reserved. If the quotas candidate doesn’t find it will be empty. Necessary documents must be provided to prove the quota’s candidates.

Admission Test Application Process

A. Candidates who wish to participate in the exam will fill out the application form at http://dot.teletalk.com.bd/ website.

B. the candidate’s color photo (length 300 cm, width 300 cm) and signature (length 300 cm, width 80 cm) should be scanned and uploaded to the designated place in the application form. The photograph size should be a maximum of 100, and the size of the signature should be 60 kilobytes.

C. As the information filled in the application form will be used in all subsequent activities, the candidate himself will be 100% sure about the correctness of all the information filled in just before submitting the application form.

D. Applicants should have to keep the print copy of the filled application form as an aid for any examination-related requirements.

Process of Sending SMS and FEES

A preview of the application form along with the image can be seen on the computer if the application form is completed correctly and submitted by attaching the photo and signature as per the instructions. Candidates who have submitted the application form accurately will get 1 applicant copy with a user ID, photograph, and signature. Candidates should download or print the applicant copy and save it. A user ID number will be provided on the applicant’s copy.

By using the user ID number, the candidate will deposit the application fee of Rs. 1000/- (one thousand) within 72 hours by SMS through any Teletalk prepaid number. It should be noted that even if all parts of the online application form are filled and submitted, the online application form will not be accepted in any case until the application fee is deposited.

1st SMS: Type DOT <space> USER ID and send it to 16222.

Example: DOT ABCDEF

Reply: Applicant’s name, Tk. 1000 will be charged as an application fee. Your PIN is XXXXXXXX. To pay the fee, Type DOT <space> Yes<space> PIN and send it to 16222.

2nd SMS: Type DOT <space> YES <Space> PIN and send it to 16222

Reply: Congratulations on Applicant’s name, payment completed successfully for B.Sc. admission of DOT. The user ID is (ABCDEF), and password (xxxxxxxxx)

BUTEX 8 Textile Engineering College Apply Fees

Application Fee: 1000 BDT

The application fee for BUTEX affiliated 8 colleges admission test is 1000 BDT. A student should have to apply online for the admission test and then pay this fee through SMS.

Textile Engineering Admit Card Download

After submitting the application fee, the candidate can download the admit card, including Roll Number, Photo, Exam Date, Time, and Venue Name, using the user id and password from 08/04/2024 at 10:00 AM to 19/04/2024 AD 5:00 PM. You can download and print (color) the admit card with the information. Candidates must bring this admit card while appearing in the written test.

Admit Card Publish

A list of 7314 eligible candidates is published for the written examination of 6032 students before the admit card collection for the Butex admission test.

The result will be published on the Website and notice board of Department of Textiles and Colleges by 22/04/2024.

Things to be done by the candidate

a) Downloaded admit card must be brought along and saved for future proceedings to appear in the admission test.

b) At least 45 minutes prior to the day of admission test at the center and 30 minutes prior to the examination hall. No candidate will be allowed to enter the examination hall after 15 minutes of the commencement of the examination.

c) Enter the examination hall by following the instructions mentioned in the admit card.
